This is a very simple to make, delicious to eat and filling post eat recipe.

Making oats is much of a norm now but slight variations in this oatmeal recipe made it more look like a dessert! Listing down the basic ingredients I used to make this.

Oatmeal Dessert Recipe

  • Milk – 200ml
  • Oats – 5 tbsp
  • Honey – 1tsp
  • Whole wheat rusks – 4 small
  • Peanut butter – 1-2 tsp
  • Chia seeds – handful
  • Almonds – handful
  • Walnuts – 2 balls
  • Granola (protein flakes)
  • Bananas / berries – 1 or 2

  • Simmer milk on low heat and add oats. Let it thicken and turn off the heat.
  • Let the mixture cool down and blend it.
  • Place 2-3 rusks in serving bowls
  • Add the oats mixture
  • Add chia seeds and mix it slightly
  • Add some peanut butter on top
  • Place sliced fruits (banans / berries)
  • Sprinkle some granola or protein flakes
  • Garnish with crushed nuts and walnuts.

This makes a yummilicious, nutritious and healthy breakfast bowl. It is very filling and tastes like a dessert garnished with nuts, and berries.

The meal covers healthy food portions of all staple food nutrients. Oats and rusks cover the carbs portion, Milk from dairy, peanut butter and nuts from fats, and granola or flakes from protein. Although honey add an extra sweet source, but it’s a healthy ingredient and can be added in minute amount.
